Mission Statement
One in our diversity, we are the faith community of
Saint Matthias.
Our faith is in Christ Jesus our Lord, entrusting us one to another.
Our unity is the food we share: the Eucharist and the Word.
Our diversity is in the ways we share: our history and cultures – ourselves!
Our community is the harvest we reap from freeing the gifts of the Spirit and the talents of every seeker.
Leading by example, we welcome and embrace everyone through personal and communal prayer, Gospel witness and loving service to all who seek hope, healing and a spiritual home.

Tower Restoration
Traditionally, the Angelus is a call to prayer in which a church bell is rung followed by the reading of the Angelus prayer - a devotion to Mary. Although a definitive history of the Angelus is unclear, it is widely accepted that the call to pray the Angelus originally occurred in the morning, with calls at Noon and evening added to the practice over the years.
We’ve decided to bring back the tradition of ringing the Angelus to St. Matthias, so listen for the bell at Noon and join us in prayer.
Contact the rectory office if you’re interested in memorialize the weekly ringing of the bell.
